Milwaukee Arts Education Directory (AED)
Visitors’ Terms of Use
The Milwaukee Arts Education Directory (hereinafter “AED”) is an interactive Web Site of various pages, and is solely intended to serve as a networking forum for artists, arts organizations, teachers, educators, and community youth-serving organizations.
On behalf of the partners of the Bader Foundation’s Arts Education Collaborative (i.e. Arts@Large, the Cultural Alliance of Greater Milwaukee, Milwaukee Public Schools, United Neighborhood Centers of Milwaukee, and the NonProfit Management Fund), the Cultural Alliance of Greater Milwaukee has created, is operating, and maintains the AED under the sponsorship of the Helen Bader Foundation. The partners of the aforementioned Arts Education Collaborative (hereinafter “AEC”), along with the Helen Bader Foundation, require that all visitors to the AED adhere to the following rules and regulations.
By accessing the AED, you indicate your acknowledgment and acceptance of these Terms of Use (hereinafter “Terms”). If you do not wish to be bound by these terms, you may not use or access the AED.
As the AEC is the facilitator of the AED Web Site, it is not responsible for the content, or the misrepresentation of the content, therein. The profiled artists and arts organizations in the AED are responsible for all content depicted in their own Profile(s), whether textual, visual, or auditory. As such, the artists and arts organizations retain ownership of all such content and are protected by all United States and international copyright laws. Therefore, you agree not to reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, resell, use, or exploit for any commercial purposes any content contained within the AED. The AEC is committed to respecting others' intellectual property rights, and we ask our users to do the same. The AEC may, in its sole discretion, terminate the accounts or access rights of users who infringe or otherwise violate others' intellectual property rights.
The AED may be linked to other websites which are not under the control of and are not maintained by the AEC. The AEC is not responsible for the content of those sites. The AEC is providing these links to you only as a convenience for the profiled artists and arts organizations, and the inclusion of any link to such sites does not imply endorsement by the AEC of those sites. The only external Sites that the AEC is responsible for the content of are the Sites linked within the “Resources” page of the AED.
You agree to abide by all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations in your use of the AED. The AED is available only to individuals who are permitted to use it under applicable law. If you do not qualify, please do not use the AED. You agree to be solely responsible for your actions and the contents of your transmissions through the AED. Furthermore, you agree not to impersonate any person or entity or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your identity or affiliation with a person or entity.
While the AEC is sensitive to the delicate nature of providing services to minors, it is the sole responsibility of the hiring party to perform a criminal Background Check of any arts educator profiled in the AED, or to obtain the information therein, if the hirer so desires. In becoming profiled in the AED, the artists and arts organizations have become aware of this right of the employer.
It is your sole responsibility to connect with, negotiate with, hire, evaluate, and pay for the services of any artist or arts organization profiled in the AED.
You expressly agree that use of the AED service and the materials or information provided therein is at your sole risk.
